replacing gravel driveway 220m
This is a project we did in Norfolk. 
Our remit, take out gravel drive 
which client could not drive up as gravel too deep, was 150mm in places 
 as you can see it is steep 
top end to oak open garage 
 1800 hundreds cottage renovated lovely flint work 
Start of preparing base for cobbles 
Removing the sub base 350 mm below finished level 
 good solid subase 
 90 ton of cobbles supplied by steptos reclaim yard very clean, no rubbish 
 side view 
 getting dark 
 You can make out the band of two setts which direct the water flow to gulleys 
Over 100 years wear very good patina 
Slurray pointed with 4:1 sharp sand cement 
up view 
Bottom of driveway redid small flint wall to slight curve so cars did not catch it 
 Top end as you can see we removed the concrete plinth to front of garage 
Front entrance aco channel in between gate to catch run off water then ramp of cobbles to lane
